Patrick Horn is an initiated disciple of Swami Swahananda and member of the United Religions Initiative, Religion Communicators Council, and Religion News Association. He is a contributor to American Vedantist and Reading Religion, a publication of the American Academy of Religion. He also wrote commentary on Swami Vivekananda’s Jnana Yoga lectures. He lived with monastics in Hollywood, Trabuco Canyon, and San Francisco.

He spoke about how he came into this spiritual lineage, shared personal experiences that inspire his work as an interfaith actor, and reviewed the seven generations since the 1893 Parliament of World’s Religions.

“Each nation has a mission… So long as a nation keeps to that ideal, nothing can kill that nation. But if the nation gives up its mission and goes after something else, its life becomes short and ultimately it vanishes.” – Swami Vivekananda, “The Way to the Realization of Universal Religion”
