The Anapanasati Sutta is a simple but profound teaching from the Pali Canon of Buddhism, which are widely read in the Buddhist world. It is believed to describe the practice that Buddha himself was using at the time of his enlightenment. Gareth provides an overview of the teaching and its core elements, draws out universal practices, and talks about how he uses this practice in his own life.
Gareth Young is a husband, father, businessman, and Buddhist practitioner. He has been with Red Clay Sangha since its founding, and has formally studied in both the Insight and Zen traditions. His practice is informed by many threads of Buddhism and by the spiritual practices of other faiths. His approach to practice is intentionally inclusive, open and welcoming.
